Sweep recommended

Sweep the vanity key into a normal, seed-backed Electrum wallet. This transfers the funds and avoids retaining a loose key.

Create or open a seed-backed wallet
Install Electrum only from electrum.org, verify the download, and make sure the destination wallet's seed backup is complete.

Open the sweep tool
Choose Wallet → Private Keys → Sweep. Paste the compressed WIF only into the Electrum desktop application. Leave the automatically selected destination address unchanged.

Review and broadcast
Choose a sensible fee, verify that the destination belongs to your Electrum wallet, then broadcast. Wait for confirmation before treating the migration as complete.

After the transfer

Confirm that the destination wallet shows the transaction and can generate a new receive address.
Do not send additional funds to the vanity address after sweeping it.
Keep the destination wallet seed backup offline. Do not retain screenshots or clipboard history containing the WIF.
For a direct import, send the full balance to a fresh seed-backed wallet when practical.
